All classes will be held in our music studio located
in the South Charleston Enrichment Center 261 Staunton
Ave/ So. Charleston, WV

Classes begin September 4th, and 5th respectively
VILLAGE “DO SI DO” for parents and babies
(birth through 17 months of age). Class size is 8
adult/child pairs. The class will meet once a week for
8 consecutive weeks beginning Sept. 4th or Sept. 5th.
Parents and babies will have many musical experiences
together including learning songs, dances, infant
massage, some sign language, playing musical games
with simple instruments and household objects. This is
a wonderful way to enhance bonding with your baby
while getting to know other parents with babies. It is
lots of fun and helps your baby to develop language,
rhythm, coordination, and emotional well being.
Cost of materials required (activity book, journal,
CD) is $35. Tuition is $30 for the 8 week class.
Two class offerings from which to choose:
Tuesdays 9:30-10:15
Wednesdays 9:30-10:15
MUSIKGARTEN “CLAP WITH ME” for parents and
toddlers (18 months to 36 months). Class size is 12
adult/child pairs. The class will meet once a week for
12 consecutive weeks starting September 4th and
September 5th respectively. Parents and toddlers will
learn many fun musical games, songs, chants,
finger-plays, and play a variety of simple
instruments. The children will enhance their language
comprehension, eye-hand coordination, gross and fine
motor skills, and ability to play in a group
situation. Materials are optional ($35). Cost of
tuition is $50 for 12 week semester.

MUSIKGARTEN “CYCLE OF SEASONS FALL” for three
and four year-olds. Class size is limited to 12 and
must have a minimum of 10 children. The class will
meet once a week for 30 minutes for 6 consecutive
weeks starting Sept. 4th and Sept. 5th. Parents may
observe the class, but are not usually active
participants. These young preschoolers will learn a
variety of fun, action-packed songs that help them to
build a sense of rhythm, melody, pitch accuracy, and
the readiness for learning music concepts presented in
KinderSong and ChildSong. Songs and learning
activities are seasonal and help to develop learning
concepts relating to the seasons.
Cost of the (optional) home materials is $35. Tuition
is $35 for each 6-week session.

Wednesdays 12:30-1:00
KINDERSONG for Kindergarten children and Pre-K
aged 5 children. Class size is limited to 15 and must
have a minimum of 10. The class will meet once a week
for 45 minutes for 12 consecutive weeks starting Sept.
5. This is a program developed by Joann Cordell as an
introduction to reading musical notes and rhythm
notation for young children through the art of
singing. Children will learn many fun songs and
musical games. They will have experiences on rhythm
instruments (drums, tambourines, ETC). Songs and
learning activities are seasonal. Cost of tuition is
$100 for the semester.

Do you have a child in First or Second grade? Check
out ChildSong program that teaches young children to
read music rhythms and notes while learning a variety
of songs. This is a terrific way for your child to
gain readiness for singing in church choirs or playing
an instrument.
Do you have a child in Third, Fourth, or Fifth grade?
Check out our DanceSong Program that incorporates
elements of choreography with singing. Children learn
advanced music theory and two-part harmony. Limit 18
